VT provides training, support and equipment to the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, Royal Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy.

United States Navy

Our experienced and security-cleared employees work shoulder-to-shoulder with government customers to provide onsite support services including facilities and range operations and maintenance, as well as a diversified set of training services and solutions. We work side-by-side with the U.S. Navy as Prime Contractor to Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command for the installation and integration of advanced U.S. Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and subsystems. We have over 30 years experience providing the Fleet comprehensive, Integrated Alteration Installation Team (AIT) services, are the largest fleet C4ISR AIT contract for the U.S. Navy.

Industry wide, VT Group has established a superior reputation for innovation, cost control, process acumen, quality and effectiveness and has demonstrated proven success supporting Battle Group, Command Ship and individual ship installations on a worldwide scale.

Under major procurements awarded on Best Value criteria, we provide a wide array of technical and engineering services that include program management, equipment acquisition, consolidated installation, systems / equipment modification, equipment fabrication, test and checkout, training and documentation for Surface Ship Communications, Intelligence, Cryptologic and Electronic Warfare Systems.

The scope of our contracts include all ship, submarine and shore-based C4ISR, FORCEnet and supporting systems, current and future – excluding Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). VT performs the above services for all C4ISR systems under the cognizance of the SPAWAR community.

United States Coast Guard

VT has performed engineering design, installation and integration for the upgrade and modernization of many of the C4I systems and equipment in use by the U.S. Coast Guard. Successful partnerships with the Coast Guard have resulted in communications center upgrades for CONUS Coast Guard groups, as well as consolidation and remoting of U.S. Coast Guard Communications Stations to Communications Area Master Stations Atlantic and Pacific.

Royal Navy

VT has a unique long term partnering agreement with the Royal Navy’s training organization, which enables us to deliver exceptional training and support services. In addition to the aforementioned training solutions, VT provides facilities management and construction services to the Royal Navy, and we also offer customers around the world unrivalled access to the Navy’s extensive training expertise and facilities.

We offer a wide range of turnkey training solutions, including:

  • Design and delivery of training programs spanning naval, civil maritime, engineering and leadership training
  • Design and delivery of training technology systems
  • Integrated facilities management services
  • Prime contracting – managing major construction and refurbishment projects

VT Group’s experienced trainers work to the Royal Navy’s exacting standards, and our customers benefit from exclusive access to the Navy’s training expertise and establishments. We apply our extensive knowledge and experience in training, facilities management and construction to deliver integrated solutions to the challenges our customers face: from training engineering apprentices to constructing and managing training facilities.

VT is also responsible for the operational delivery of two critical communications contracts supporting naval operations for the UK MoD.

  • Design, build, operation, maintenance and support of the Royal Navy’s submarine Very-Low Frequency (VLF) strategic communications system
  • Operation, maintenance and support of the MOD’s tri-service Defence High Frequency Communications Service (DHFCS)

Royal New Zealand Navy

VT is the only engineering company to enjoy a strategic partnership with the Royal New Zealand Navy. Through our joint venture we offer an integrated mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering facility in Auckland, New Zealand. This provides products and services to a broad range of customers around the world.
