Training is the key to preparing forces – both military and civilian – for optimal mission performance, and during tough economic times the training that may have taken place at a remote location is being increasingly moved on-site. Range management can encompass a variety of things, and VT approaches each one as seriously as the next. Providing range operations and maintenance (O&M) support at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, VT provides a wide range of services that include project management for launch pads and facilities. While at the U.S. Coast Guard base in Kodiak, Alaska VT provides similar service for airspace management and ground systems and facilities support. For the Ministry of Defence VT provides air weapons range services at RAF Tain, Cape Wrath and other warfare centers.
