As large communities, our military bases require many of the same safety and protective services as the general public does, but the requirements change when there are weapons, aircraft and military vessels in the area – or directly involved. VT Group provides specialized services to military base communities including:

Emergency Operations Center

Our people, consistently passionate and knowledgeable about the services that they deliver, regularly work alongside their customers in emergency or command operations centers. Certified in key disciplines and seasoned by experience, VT Group personnel provide an operational backbone, delivering support and responsive service at the heart of our customers’ critical operations.

Fire Services

We provide fully trained fire department personnel to operate, maintain and use military-owned fire protection equipment. Our firefighters are specially trained and certified to meet the requirements of working near and with weapons systems, military fuels and other risks unique to military facilities.

Physical Security

VT Group provides systems and personnel to prevent and detect intrusions at military facilities, and to protect the unique types of assets owned and used by our armed forces. Our security staffs carry the appropriate security clearances and are specially trained to work alongside the military personnel and systems they protect.

Emergency Medical Services

We only begin with the basic emergency services to support on-base residential communities. The emergency medical technicians and medical staff VT Group provides to military bases are specially trained to deal with the unique circumstances encountered from emergencies involving military aircraft, ships and submarines.

Fuel Services

In many locations, VT Group manages receipt, custody and dispensing of the specialized fuels and fuel facilities that support basic base operations, aircraft, ships and submarines.

Environmental Services

We often provide end to end management of the unique types of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes used or generated by military operations. VT Group can provide inspection services, collection, transportation and shipment of any or all hazardous waste from an installation.

Emergency Preparedness

Across all of the protective and safety services VT Group provides, our professionals are trained and experienced in crisis response and management, including certification to deal with chemical, biological, nuclear and radiological threats and events.
