Market-Specific Knowledge

VT Group’s personnel assist clients with the planning and execution of multi-billion dollar, high-visibility weapon systems and information technology programs. We are intimately familiar with the laws, policies and management frameworks which provide guidance for our activities, including:

  • CJCS 3170-series and DoD 5000-series Instructions and Directives
  • DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR),
  • Federal and Defense Contracting Regulations (FAR/DFARS).

Current Work

U.S. Navy Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA)

VT Group personnel provide executive, programmatic and administrative support services to senior leadership within the Navy Program Executive Office (PEO) infrastructure and associated acquisition programs. For example, we support the senior program managers within the PEO for Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) serving programs in the following areas:

  • Integrated combat systems
  • Above water sensors
  • International/security assistance
  • Undersea systems
  • Command and control

VT Group helps to ensure that funds provided via Congressional budget appropriations and Allied FMS programs are budgeted, distributed, and executed congruently with official DoD and Navy financial and acquisition management processes, and in accordance with Federal law and policy. Concurrently, we monitor the funds execution and contractual performance of contractor companies charged with providing essential goods and services critical to the Navy’s ability to perform its global mission.

Other DoD work

  • Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) – VT Group maintains a team collocated with DFAS at their center in Columbus, Ohio, performing complex business, contract and financial reconciliation activities that directly support a number of DoD business transformation and business process re-engineering initiatives
  • Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) – We have personnel working directly with the senior government employees responsible for overseeing content and conduct of courses within the human resources and leadership subject areas of the DIA Military Intelligence School
