Platform & Asset Management

VT Group works extensively with the armed forces and a limited number of commercial customers to help maintain readiness of key platforms. Beyond maintenance logs and inventory sheets, VT Group collaborates with the customer to determine operational requirements, and then continuously looks for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness. In many cases, VT Group contracts for availability, owning the risk for delivering the asset on-time and ready to operate so that our customer can do the hard part – completing the mission.

For more than 19 years we have delivered an extensive range of support services to the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office. In addition, for the past 12 years we have provided a myriad of services to all of Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM). VT Group manages the equipment, parts, tools and services that support fixed and rotary aircraft under Army command, as well as a number of the missile assets.

End-To-End Asset Management

In one way or another, VT Group supports the efforts of virtually every member of the AMCOM team, and we can bring the same professional commitment to any fleet or asset pool. We maintain the databases and information to support a large number of the aircraft and their requirements to remain in top condition. We train operators and maintenance crews, and we provide the tools to support that training.

Our core services include:

  • Tracking asset use – each aircraft and each critical component – by serial number, knowing where they are at any moment, how many hours of service they have performed and what kind of maintenance they have received
  • Analyzing volumes of parts, fluids and services that are consumed
  • Recommending maintenance and refurbishment schedules
  • Managing inventory selection and stockage levels

VT is also dedicated to providing fully-integrated engineering, maintenance/repair, technical, acquisition, and administrative services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane and its U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM), U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army customers. The team provides hands-on engineering and technical expertise to investigate and analyze various integrated electro-optic (EO), command display and visual augmentation systems (VAS), sub-systems and accessories, components and piece-part failures and/or weaknesses associated with combat-fielded weapon systems programs and new technologies.

The high-level readiness of these critical systems ensures the accurate delivery of missiles and munitions and provides our warfighters the ability to safely rule the battle space at night and/or in all weather. They provide capabilities for airborne and ground systems fire control, target designation, range-finding, surveillance and land navigation. We are intimately familiar with the design, engineering and support of these systems. We perform production coordination, corrective maintenance and/or repair, calibration, detailed documentation, asset tracking and reporting activities in accordance with applicable customer guidance and workload schedule requirements.

The requirements are never static, and VT Group personnel are constantly working with the customer to improve processes and outcomes. More importantly, VT Group personnel are responsive to changing customer demands, knowing that the fine line between success and failure is never in the same place twice.
