UPDATED IN THIS MESSAGE: Users with Visio and Project are now permitted to upgrade Office, NOT VISIO/PROJECT, see specifics below.

We have now activated licenses for all internal VT Group Employees so they can access the Office 365 Web Portal.  We are requesting that everyone attempt to login between now and Thursday September 14th to ensure you are able to properly sign in.  We have attached a guide to this message for signing in to Office 365 if you need assistance getting signed in.  With the addition of the licensing, each VT Group employee now has access to install the latest version of Office as well.  Once logged in, you will see the “Install Office 2016”, there is also a guide to assist with the removal of older versions of Office and the installation of 2016.  If you have a current business need for Microsoft Access, please contact the Help Desk as soon as possible.  We have to ensure all users of Microsoft Access who are using a specific database are all on the same version at the same time to avoid any accessibility issues to the Access Databases  Previously we requested Microsoft Visio and Project users to hold off upgrading.  You may now do so provided the Office 2016 version matches the bit version of your Visio and Project software (i.e. 32 vs 64 bit).  If you have trouble upgrading, please submit a Help Desk ticket by emailing

As we get closer to the migration date, you will start to receive guides for accessing Webmail, setting up email on your mobile device, and setting up your email in Outlook should it fail to automatically switch over.  We ask that you save each of these guides to a folder on your desktop to you have access to them in the event you are unable to get into your email for any reason.  These guides are specifically designed to assist with the most common problems

Please note that while you will have access to Office 365, certain functions will not work (for instance the Mail Icon on the Office 365 Portal Page) until the migration has finished this coming weekend.

We are looking forward to completing this major milestone in our IT Modernization Project.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the helpdesk at
