Connecting our Warfighters in Demanding Environments

Mobile communication facilities (MCFs or “COMMS Shelters”) often are critical for our Warfighters wherever their mission takes them. VT Group is a leader in delivering MCFs – with 20 years and hundreds of successes. Our MCFs are custom, scalable, physically secure, climate controlled, rugged, power-redundant and container-based shelters that answer the need for temporary and permanent telecommunication centers.  Our MCFs can handle the information flow for an entire military command or company, from network connectivity and tactical commands to satellite links. We deliver a turnkey, cost-effective, on-schedule product that you can count on.

Our MCFs serve U.S. armed forces including ARCENT, AFCENT, CENTCOM, DHS and SPAWAR as well as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. We provided and now support the COMMs Shelters and Technical Control Facilities (TCFs) for the U.S. Army in forward-operating bases in Afghanistan. In addition to development, refurbishment, installation and testing services, we often provide MCFs transportation; set up; connection to local utilities and/or diesel generators; and training of personnel in installing, configuring, operating and maintaining the shelters.

Our fully-integrated MCFs include cabling, racks, routers, switches, lighting, cable trays, cooling and power options – all of which are scalable to support emerging technologies and advanced networking capabilities. MCF solutions include:

  • Network control center
